Emergency First Response Course

During the course EFR Emergency First Response: Primary care and first aids you will learn how to act in case of a medical emergency. Assest the situation and take the best possible action to help. Among other techniques, it includes cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), use of defibrillator (AED), use of oxygen, treatment of shock, choking, treatment of wounds, and what to do in case of accidents with poisonous or stinging animals. Although we are a diving centre and the contents are based on accidents that we can get to witness in coastal environments or on boats, the course presents contents for daily life that are extremely useful at any time we witness an accident. That's why you do not have to be a diver to sign up. It is only necessary that you have an interest in the care of the people around you.

What does it consists of?

The EFR Emergency First Response course of Primary care and first aid is based on the practice and use of elements such as bandages, splints and compresses. You will also use a manikin to learn and practice the Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) technique with and without the assistance of an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED). You will see in which cases it is convenient to provide medical oxygen to a victim with respiratory distress and in what way you can assist in first aid to a victim whose life is not immediately at risk such as cuts, broken bones or lacerations.
